Domingo Zapata Is Featured Artist At Launch Of VC Gallery At Dream Downtown

Domingo Zapata became the first artist to showcase their work at the launch of the VC Gallery at Dream Downtown hosted by Vicram Chatwal in New York on May 10, entitled "Life Is A Dream."

Celebrities such as Hayden Christiansen, Lindsay Lohan and Chef Padma Lakshmi, turned up to support Zapata in admiration of his largest piece ever created.

Spotlighted, as guests entered the gallery hung a massive mixed media/collage of acrylics, oils and spray paint depicting a war hero's plane screaming "I'M COMING HOME, I LOVE YOU BABE, YOU ARE MY DREAM" splashed across canvas and featuring a hidden poem that reads “ I dream that I am here/ Of these imprisonments charged/ and I dreamed that in another state/ happier I saw myself./ What is life? A frenzy./ What is life? An illusion,/ A Shadow, A fiction,/ And the greatest profit is small;/ For all of life is a dream,/ and dreams, are nothing but dreams.”

Christiansen, often not a part of the art scene, came to show support for Zapata’s most famous collections, becoming yet another dedicated fan. Lohan’s support of both Zapata and the new VC Gallery was apparent as she arrived to the event displaying great enthusiasm and admiration for this highly anticipated show.

Hundreds of art fans turned out to see these rare pieces of Zapata’s various well-known collections and to catch a sneak preview of his newest series, which many are eager to view at his next show.

6th Annual Countdown To Cannes held in Beverly Hills by Liberty Entertainment Insurance Services

Liberty Entertainment Insurance Services proved themselves as no ordinary insurance company at their much talked about event,Countdown to Cannes, held at Confidential in Beverly Hills on Wednesday May 9th.

Countdown to Cannes is an annual networking event dedicated to those within the film industry, in particular those attending Cannes Film Festival next week.

“It was wonderful to see so many industry executives come together to meet others in the industry and have a great time," said Daniel R'bibo, President of Liberty Entertainment Insurance Services. "As Liberty Entertainment continues to grow we look forward to bringing more of our clients and industry leaders together”

Among the many that attended, appearances were made from Steven Saxton, CEO, Chairman and Founder of Hollywood Studios International, Steven Kaplan, the lead producer from Rainstorm Entertainment, in addition to executives from Inferno Entertainment, Paradigm and Film Street Productions.
 
Not to cut the guest list short at film industry personnel; actress Bai Ling (The Crow), Max Ryan, (Sex and the City 2), Sufe Bradshaw (Veep) and Fallon Goodson (Frontera- to be screened at Cannes)  Samantha Mumba (Time Machine) could all be seen to be enjoying themselves and mingling amongst distinguished guests!  

Music from popular celebrity DJ Brynn Taylor had the room buzzing and added to the vibrant atmosphere of the evening, in addition to the open bar sponsored by the low calorie brand spirit; Voli Vodka.

Wines By Wives Launch Party

Jane Owen PR produced the launch party for Wines by Wives, a new celebrity wine club created by NY businessman Chris Gravagna, was held Tuesday night at Lexington Social House in Hollywood. Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson from Real Housewives of Orange County hosted the evening.

Also in attendance were Ashley Hebert from “The Bachelorette”, and Dana Wilkey from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who debuted her new song “25,000,” inspired by her $25,000 sunglasses she wore on the show. Other guests included Michael Clark Duncan (Green Mile,) Rossi Morreale (Escape Routes,) Dominika Wolski (Art History,) Jennifer Woods (Entourage,) Jenni Pulos (Bravo Host,) Lisa Gastineau (The Gastineau Girls,) Challen Cates (Big Time Rush,) Katie Cleary (Iron Man 2,) Jessica Hall (Kendra on Top,) and more.

Experience Napa and Riviera Magazine sponsored the evening. Guests enjoyed music from DJ Brynn Taylor, wine and vodka drinks poured by Dolce Touch and cakes by Sweet E’s Mini Bake Shop. Proceeds from the evening went to Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Women’s Shelter of Long Beach, which were the charities of Tamra and Vicki’s choices. The event was also broadcast live via a web cam at the event to all fans.

Wines by Wives, owned by Springbase Media, is a celebrity wine club that features various celebrities who people can sign up under. A portion of the initial membership fee for each person goes to the charity of that celebrity’s choice.

When members sign up for the club, they will receive monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly shipments of wines picked out bythe celebrity they signed up under. In addition to the wine, they will receive exclusive deals, celebrity updates, and more.

Ashley was ADORABLE and talked about how excited she is to become a Wife herself! Tamra and Eddie were lovely and so very happily in love! 

Dana Wilkey from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was there and DJ Brynn Taylor premiered her new dance song "25,000, Bitches!" which was met with cheers from the crowd! Dana joined Brynn in the DJ booth for a sing along!
